TRIMESTER SERVICE PROGRAM or TSP...Since I designed it.. I get to define it! So let me get the definition out of the way first:
TRIMESTER SERVICE PROGRAM
TSP is a targeted pest management program designed to conveniently, economically and logically maintain a pest free home interior, while keeping chemical materials out of the indoor environment, by proactively defending the exterior perimeter at such times and in such manners as to render the greatest degree of control.
T.A. Brennan 8/8/1989That mouthful translates out to: COMMON SENSE PEST CONTROL. Think about this: Bugs (and most everything else that isn't human) live outside. Pest control is a matter of keeping it that way. So if you can do something that either keeps them out or makes them want to stay out, life is good, yes? Well, that's what TSP does. By applying our materials around the perimeter of your house we put up a sort of defensive barrier against pests. If you know just what to put down and exactly when to apply it, you'll be very successful It's common sense! So, how is this different than you going and buying stuff at the home center and doing it yourself? Glad you asked!
First, you aren't going to do that. Oh you will say you will, but then when it comes the right time to do it you will either forget, won't be able to find your sprayer, or want to play golf instead. (Can't blame ya there. )
But I'm going to show up... mainly because you're paying me. Money is a great motivator. In addition, I know when to apply the stuff, just where to put the stuff and, let's face it, I can buy better stuff than you!
Why three times and not four? The right time to control insects is when they are actively moving around. This is because they will be exposed to more of whatever you put down and they will spread it around within their own families. This is the same reason that you get the flu when the kids are in school. Insects are most active when breeding, growing and nesting. They breed in the spring. They grow their colonies in the summer and they are moving in for nesting in the fall. During the winter they are mostly dormant. That fourth treatment most companies sell you has more to do with their bottom line and keeping their staff employed in February than it does with killing bugs. Now if you happen to live in the south where it is warm year round, OK.... different story. But not in New England.
There must be a lot of sense in this approach because since I designed TSP back in 1990 or so, at least two other, larger companies have copied it. One of them actually cut and pasted the text right from my first website! Hey, imitation IS the sincerest form of flattery!
What's it cost? On average the cost of TSP is $95.00 per visit. Now, seriously, what other professional is going to come to your home at all... much less actually render any kind of service for that kind of money? Not the plumber... not the electrician. But I'll hop out of the truck with over twenty years of experience under my belt to keep you from having bug problems... What a deal!

I also handle WIldlife control... Skunks, Raccoons, and those kinds of things. AND I do Handyman stuff.... Yep... Handyman. Why? Well, a lot of times your squirrels are getting into your house because of a hole you need fixed. A carpenter can't really be bothered with a little job like that, so it just makes sense for me to offer that type of thing. In addition... I just really enjoy that type of work! I've remodeled several properties of my own and can fix or replace just about anything, so it's kind of a cross between a second income stream and a hobby. It's really kind of cool to be able to get paid for doing something you totally enjoy!
